OPTIFEED SERVICES

The OPTIFEED TECHNOLOGY developed in collaboration with the University of Thessaly, Greece, is based on the in vitro determination of Protein Digestibility Rates using the pH-stat method, a method of continuous measurement of peptide bond cleavage.          The pH-Stat method was originally developed and used by the human food industry (1983). Since then, the method has been occasionally used in fish nutrition studies.

LAB TRIAL for CALYSTA

We organised and supervised a lab trial of FeedKind (CALYSTA) a novel single cell protein in European Sea bass in collaboration with the HELLENIC CENTRE FOR MARINE RESEARCH. The results from the current trial show that FeedKind can successfully replace 40% of the fishmeal and be included at a rate of 10.4% in diets for the European Sea bass.
